Job Description
The Fashion Instructor will be responsible for teaching courses in fashion design, tailoring, and pattern drafting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Key Accountabilities
Classroom and Studio Management:- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment in the classroom and studio.
- Manage resources such as fabrics, tools, and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, techniques, and innovations.
- Build relationships with industry professionals, businesses, and organizations to create opportunities for students.
Requirements
- Education: Relevant tertiary degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in tailoring (male or female), fashion design, and pattern drafting.
- Skills: In-depth understanding of the business side of fashion, including entrepreneurship and marketing.
