Job Overview
The Institute for Fashion Excellence seeks a dedicated and skilled Fashion Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive lessons in fashion design, tailoring, and pattern drafting.
About the Role
- Design and deliver engaging lessons on fashion design, tailoring, and pattern drafting.
- Teach students about the business aspects of fashion, including entrepreneurship, marketing, and branding.
- Provide hands-on training in various techniques and tools of the trade.
- Evaluate student progress through practical projects, assignments, and exams.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Duties:- Create and deliver lesson plans, assessments, and course materials aligned with industry standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment with industry requirements.
- Mentor students, providing guidance and support for their creative and professional growth.
- Participate in fashion production tasks, including designing and sewing clothes as needed.
- Support institutional projects and events requiring fashion design expertise.
- Collaborate with the team on creating and executing fashion collections or other production initiatives.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in tailoring, fashion design, or pattern drafting are required.
- Proven experience in tailoring (male or female), fashion design, and pattern drafting.
