Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Brainshare Technologies and Services Nigeria Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our 24/7 operation, including our office premises, employees, and assets. The Security Officer will also be responsible for the daily operation of the office generator and water pump, as well as maintaining accurate records in various logbooks.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the safety and security of the office premises, employees and assets at all times, fostering a secure work environment that promotes productivity and employee satisfaction.
2. Conduct regular patrols of the office premises to identify and report any security breaches or concerns, utilizing effective problem-solving skills to mitigate potential risks.
3. Operate the office generator on a daily basis, ensuring it is properly maintained and fueled, adhering to established protocols for optimal performance.
4. Operate the water pump to supply water to the office, maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment that meets industry standards.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the following logbooks:
   • Staff & Visitors logbooks
   • Generator logbook
   • Water pump logbook
   • Incident/Handover logbook
6. Respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents or emergencies that may arise, demonstrating excellent crisis management skills and prioritizing the safety of employees and assets.
7. Welcome Visitors to the company, providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive first impression of Brainshare Technologies and Services Nigeria Limited.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure working environment, promoting cross-functional communication and teamwork.
9. Perform any other security-related tasks as assigned by the HR & Admin. Manager/Team Lead, consistently demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Security Officer in a similar environment, possessing relevant knowledge and skills required for the role.
2. Age: 25-38 years old, meeting the specified age requirements for this position.
3. Secondary School Certificate, demonstrating a basic level of education and qualifications required for the role.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with ease and efficiency.
6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, identifying and mitigating potential security risks and threats.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information, upholding the highest standards of data protection and compliance.
8. Physical ability to perform security patrols and respond to emergencies, possessing the necessary physical stamina and mobility required for the role.
9. Tall and good looking, meeting the specified physical appearance requirements for this position.
