About the Role:

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels meet demand.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and update stock records consistently.
  • Forecast inventory needs and reorder materials when stock levels are low.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of goods, adhering to quality and quantity standards.
  • Track orders and deliveries to ensure timely stock replenishment.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of items to prevent damage.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for inventory, including receipts, issue vouchers, and stock cards.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, usage, and discrepancies.
  • Work with the finance team to reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
  • Inspect items for damage, quantity, and quality upon delivery.
  • Report any defective or missing items to relevant departments for corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for inventory management.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate stock needs and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or similar roles.
  • Minimum of an HND or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory management software is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for vendor coordination and internal reporting.
  • Ability to anticipate stock needs and address issues promptly.
  • Willingness to engage in physical tasks, including lifting and moving inventory as needed.
