About the Role:
The Library Assistant Coordinator is an integral part of our team at 21st CENTURY RECRUITER, responsible for assisting administrative managers with various tasks. This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support administrative managers with material location, reference services, and resource guidance.
- Coordinate new material processing, including cataloging, classification, and circulation preparation.
- Oversee circulation activities, such as check-in/check-out, renewals, and holds.
- Ensure the maintenance of library collections through shelving, shifting, and organization.
- Contribute to library programming and events for diverse age groups.
- Resolve basic technology issues and assist administrative managers with digital resources.
- Manage library records and generate reports as necessary.
- Enforce library policies to maintain a welcoming environment.
Essential Skills:
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a library setting.
- Proficiency with library management systems and digital resources.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic technology troubleshooting abilities.
