Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Library Assistant Coordinator to join our team at 21st CENTURY RECRUITER. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative managers with various tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist administrative managers with locating materials, answering reference questions, and providing guidance on client-related resources.
  • Process new materials including cataloging, classification, and preparation for circulation.
  • Manage circulation activities including check-in/check-out, renewals, and holds.
  • Maintain library collections through shelving, shifting, and organizing materials.
  • Support library programming and events for various age groups.
  • Troubleshoot basic technology issues and assist administrative managers with digital resources.
  • Maintain library records and generate reports as needed.
  • Enforce library policies while ensuring a welcoming environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Library Science or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a library setting.
  • Proficiency with library management systems and digital resources.
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Basic technology troubleshooting abilities.
