Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Library Assistant Coordinator to join our team at 21st CENTURY RECRUITER. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative managers with various tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist administrative managers with locating materials, answering reference questions, and providing guidance on client-related resources.
- Process new materials including cataloging, classification, and preparation for circulation.
- Manage circulation activities including check-in/check-out, renewals, and holds.
- Maintain library collections through shelving, shifting, and organizing materials.
- Support library programming and events for various age groups.
- Troubleshoot basic technology issues and assist administrative managers with digital resources.
- Maintain library records and generate reports as needed.
- Enforce library policies while ensuring a welcoming environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a library setting.
- Proficiency with library management systems and digital resources.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic technology troubleshooting abilities.
