Salary Information

We are pleased to offer this opportunity as part of the Talent programme 'Swiss Youth at the United Nations / World Bank Group'. This position is sponsored by the Peace and Human Rights Division (PHRD), ensuring travel, relocation, and UN health insurance costs are covered. Additionally, a monthly living allowance is paid.

Job Description

As a Programme Associate, you will support UNDP in various ways:

• Assist in project implementation and coordination, including preparing reports, meeting minutes, and supporting field missions and events;
• Support partnership development by drafting concept notes, proposals, and documentation for donor meetings and coordination;
• Assist in knowledge management, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) tasks, including data collection, outcome tracking, and drafting donor reports;
• Maintain donor reporting timelines and support MEL initiatives, ensuring quality control and documentation of lessons learned;
• Promote UNDP's portfolio approach, enhancing cross-collaboration within the Governance, Peace, and Security Portfolio Team;
• Etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:

• Swiss nationality;
• Master's degree in international relations, law, peacebuilding, social sciences, international development, or related fields;
• Demonstrated interest and/or experience in governance, peace, and security-related issues;
• Previous experience in the international development sector and the African regional context will be an asset;
• Previous experience in programme/project development and implementation will be an asset;
• Excellent analytical and writing skills;
• Fluency in English;
