As a key member of the Bisedge Logistics & Infrastructure team, the Chief Health and Safety Officer plays a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement HSE Policies: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Risk Assessments and Hazard Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks in the workplace.
  • Incident Investigations and Reporting: Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts to determine root causes and prepare incident reports.
  • HSE Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver health, safety, and environmental training programs to employees at all levels to ensure they understand and follow safe work practices and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
