At Micash microfinance cooperative, we are seeking a highly skilled Microfinance Lending Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our loan management department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and effective delivery of financial services to our customers.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage the loan application process, evaluate creditworthiness, and ensure timely disbursement and recovery of loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Guidance: Assist clients in understanding our loan products and guide them through the loan application process, providing ongoing support during loan repayment periods.
  • Credit Evaluation: Review credit histories and financial documentation to assess the financial status of loan applicants.
  • Field Visits: Conduct field visits and interviews with customers to verify loan applications and assess creditworthiness.
  • Loan Approval: Approve or reject loan applications based on risk assessment and our loan policies.
  • Documentation: Ensure that loan agreements are properly drafted, signed, and filed.
  • Repayment Monitoring: Monitor loan repayments and follow up with clients who are late on payments to avoid defaults.
