We are hiring an experienced Accountant for immediate employment to strengthen our finance function. This role is ideal for a results-driven finance professional with strong expertise in financial reporting, taxation, compliance, budgeting, and audit management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Management Accounts:
    Prepare accurate financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, and periodic management reports.
  • General Ledger & Record Keeping:
    Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date financial records and the general ledger in line with best accounting practices.
  • Accounting Standards & Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Financial Analysis & Business Insights:
    Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control:
    Prepare annual budgets, monitor expenditure, and forecast financial requirements.
  • Audit & Internal Controls:
    Conduct internal audits of financial transactions and documentation and support external audit processes.
  • Taxation & Statutory Filings:
    Compute taxes, prepare and file tax returns, and support tax planning initiatives. (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, NSITF, ITF & PENSION)
  • Reconciliations & Payables/Receivables:
    Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Additional Duties:
    Perform other finance and accounting-related tasks as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' professional experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, auditing, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high professional integrity.
