Construction Manager/QAQC Officer

The ideal candidate will manage and supervise construction activities, ensure quality control, coordinate site teams, and enforce safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, project coordination skills, and strict adherence to design, quality, and regulatory specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day construction operations to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Supervise and coordinate site teams, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve smooth project execution.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents for implementation on site.
• Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for materials and workmanship.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with design standards and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance logs.
• Identify and resolve technical or operational challenges during construction in collaboration with the design team.
• Ensure all construction activities meet environmental, health, and safety (HSE) regulations.
• Coordinate site meetings, track progress, and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (MSc. in Construction Management or Project Management is an added advantage).
• Membership or certification with COREN, NSE, NIStructE, or PMI is an advantage.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction supervision, QA/QC, or project management, preferably within engineering consultancy or construction firms.
• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and relevant construction management tools.
