Job Description: Product Operations Manager (with Business Analyst Skills)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Product Operations Manager to act as the bridge between business strategy, product development, and operational excellence. This role combines business analysis, process optimisation, and project management to ensure that products, platforms, and services deliver maximum impact for our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Operations

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of products, platforms, and services, ensuring smooth delivery from ideation to launch and post-launch optimisation.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and business teams to align on goals, priorities, and timelines.

• Monitor product performance, adoption, and KPIs, and identify areas for improvement.

• Establish operational workflows, playbooks, and SOPs to scale product delivery efficiently.

1. Business Analysis

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for new products, platform enhancements, or operational initiatives.

• Map and optimise business processes to improve efficiency and user experience.

• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Analyse data to provide actionable insights for decision-making, product strategy, and operational improvements.

1. Project & Stakeholder Management

• Plan, track, and deliver projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and scope are met.

• Act as the central point of contact between stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely updates.

• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and proactively propose solutions.

• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, workshops, and product demos.

1. Reporting & Data-Driven Insights

• Build dashboards and reports to track product performance, operational metrics, and business outcomes.

• Provide actionable insights to leadership to inform strategy and prioritisation.

• Support data-driven decision-making by analysing trends, KPIs, and user feedback.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Recommend and implement tools, automations, and process enhancements to optimise efficiency.

• Drive adoption of best practices across product, operations, and business teams.

• Support testing, QA, and rollout of new features or systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Trello, Monday, Notion).

• Proficiency in business analysis tools (Miro, Lucidchart, BPMN).

• Data analysis skills (Excel/Sheets; SQL or BI tools are a plus).

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.

• Experience with digital product operations, platforms, or SaaS is advantageous.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–6 years of experience in product operations, business analysis, or project management.

• Certifications (optional but preferred):

• Agile Scrum Master (CSM / PSM)

• CBAP / ECBA (Business Analysis)

• PMP / PRINCE2
