The Role

We're seeking a Senior Curriculum Developer who can create comprehensive educational content across three critical modules in our Data Analytics Track. This isn't just content creation—you'll be designing the complete visualization and business intelligence learning journey that transforms career transitioners into job-ready analysts capable of creating impactful dashboards and enterprise BI solutions.

This is a high-impact, high-reward role for someone who can deliver end-to-end curriculum covering foundational to advanced visualization skills and enterprise business intelligence.

The 3-Module Package

You'll create complete curriculum materials for:

Module: Data Visualization Fundamentals

Transform beginners into visualization-capable analysts:

· Principles of effective data visualization

· Types of visualizations and their applications

· Introduction to Tableau & Power BI

· Creating basic charts and graphs

· Building interactive dashboards

· Storytelling with data

· Avoiding common visualization pitfalls

Module 7: Advanced Data Visualization

Elevate intermediate analysts to advanced visualization experts:

· Advanced Tableau techniques (LOD expressions, parameters, actions)

· Power BI fundamentals and advanced features

· Creating effective dashboards for different audiences

· Interactive and dynamic visualizations

· Geospatial data visualization

Module 9: Business Intelligence and Dashboarding

Prepare analysts for senior BI roles:

· End-to-end BI solutions architecture

· ETL processes and data warehousing concepts

· Advanced Power BI (data modeling, DAX, optimization)

· Dashboard design best practices

· Data modeling for business intelligence

· KPI development and tracking

· Real-time dashboards and reporting

Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Design & Content Creation

Module 4 - Foundational Content

· Write engaging teaching scripts ( for video recording

· Create professional slide decks with clear visualization examples

· Develop hands-on materials

· Design chart selection exercises and dashboard design challenges

Module 7 - Advanced Content

· Write expert-level teaching scripts for advanced techniques

· Create slide decks showcasing advanced Tableau, Power BI, and Python visualization

· Develop advanced Tableau tutorials (LOD expressions, parameters, actions)

· Create Python visualization Jupyter notebooks (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly)

· Design geospatial visualization exercises

· Build advanced capstone project: Multi-tool, multi-audience visualization suite

Module 9 - Enterprise BI Content

· Write professional scripts explaining BI architecture and enterprise concepts

· Create slide decks with BI architecture diagrams and workflows

· Develop Power BI data modeling tutorials (star schema, DAX, optimization)

· Design ETL process explanations for analysts

· Create KPI framework exercises

· Build enterprise capstone project: End-to-end BI solution with real-time dashboard

Assessment & Student Success

· Design 100+ practice exercises across all three modules (easy, medium, challenging)

· Create 3 comprehensive capstone projects with datasets and solutions

· Develop 30+ quizzes and practical assessments

· Produce student success materials:

o Chart selection decision trees

o Color theory and accessibility guides

o Dashboard design checklists

o LOD expression reference guides

o Python visualization code templates

o DAX formula libraries

o BI architecture diagram templates

o Performance optimization guides

Essential Requirements

Core Professional Skills

· Minimum 4-5 years as Data Analyst, BI Developer, or Senior Analyst with heavy visualization focus

· Expert-level Tableau: Basic to advanced (LOD expressions, parameters, actions, Tableau Prep)

· Expert-level Power BI: Basic to enterprise (data modeling, advanced DAX, Power Query, optimization)

· BI architecture knowledge: ETL processes, data warehousing, star schema, dimensional modeling

· Teaching experience: 3+ years teaching data visualization or BI (bootcamp, corporate training, online courses)

· Curriculum development: Proven track record creating complete learning programs

· Excellent communication: Ability to explain complex concepts simply for career transitioners

Technical Competencies

Visualization Tools

· Tableau: Calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, sets, actions, dashboard design

· Power BI: DAX (measures, calculated columns, time intelligence), Power Query M, data modeling, optimization

Business Intelligence

· Data modeling: Star schema, snowflake schema, relationships, cardinality

· ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse concepts

· KPI development and business metrics frameworks

· Real-time dashboards and incremental refresh strategies

Teaching & Content Creation

· Learning Management Systems (Thinkific, Teachable, Canvas)

· Screen recording software and video tutorials

· Slide creation (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva)

· Jupyter notebooks and Python documentation

· Assessment design and rubric creation

Tools Proficiency

· SQL for data extraction and analysis

· Git/GitHub for code sharing

· Diagram tools (Lucidchart, ) for architecture diagrams

· Design tools (Canva, Figma) for educational graphics

Preferred QualificationsCertifications & Credentials

· Tableau Desktop Certified Associate or Specialist (highly preferred)

· Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) (highly preferred)

· Instructional design certification

· Project management certification (for managing deliverables)

Additional Experience

· Published visualization courses on Udemy, Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, or Pluralsight

· Active Tableau Public profile with featured visualizations or Viz of the Day

· BI consultancy or enterprise BI implementation experience

· Data journalism or visual storytelling background

· Experience teaching underrepresented populations or career changers

· EdTech or bootcamp teaching experience

· Conference speaking on data visualization or BI topics

Bonus Skills

· Video editing for polished tutorial production

· Graphic design skills for creating visualization examples

· or advanced JavaScript visualization

· Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric experience

· DAX Studio and Tabular Editor proficiency

· Experience with student learning analytics
