• Role Overview

The Senior Developer / Innovation Hub Lead will spearhead the end-to-end development of innovative technology solutions and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) within aggressive timelines. This role is responsible for driving rapid prototyping, leading an agile development squad, fostering creativity, and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact digital products that support the company's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities1. Innovation & Product Development

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of MVPs from concept to launch.
• Translate product concepts, user stories, and business requirements into working prototypes.
• Validate assumptions with functional prototypes, pilot releases, and user feedback loops.
• Ensure solutions developed can scale from MVP to full product.

2. Technical Leadership

• Provide strong architectural direction, ensuring best practices in software engineering.
• Oversee system design, API integrations, database structures, and tech stack selection.
• Drive technical reviews, code quality assurance, and maintain documentation.

3. Agile Project Delivery

• Lead a cross-functional agile team (developers, designers, product managers).
• Run sprints, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
• Manage timelines, priorities, risks, and deliverables for multiple parallel MVPs.
• Ensure rapid iterations, continuous improvement, and quick release cycles.

4. Stakeholder & Team Management

• Work closely with business units to understand product needs and innovation gaps.
• Present progress updates, prototypes, and demos to leadership.
• Mentor junior developers and support skill development within the team.

5. Research & Innovation

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and digital trends.
• Identify new tools, methodologies, and processes to accelerate development.
• Build proof-of-concepts for complex or untested ideas.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, etc.).
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and backend frameworks , Django, Spring Boot).
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in database design (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience building MVPs, prototypes, and rapid product iterations.

Agile & Product Delivery Skills

• Strong sprint planning and team leadership experience.
• Ability to deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.
• Strong documentation, refinement, and user-story breakdown abilities.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Innovative thinker with the ability to turn ideas into working solutions quickly.
• Strong problem-solving, creativity, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor and inspire a rapid-delivery technical team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's is a plus).
• 5–8+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years leading teams or managing agile product delivery.
• Prior experience in innovation labs, tech hubs, or startup environments is an added advantage.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of MVPs delivered within planned timelines.
• Quality and scalability of prototypes.
• Sprint delivery rate and team velocity.
• Stakeholder satisfaction and business value created.
• Adoption and transition of MVPs into production-ready solutions.
