Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Head of Sales to lead our entire sales organization. This is a strategic leadership role requiring a minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue targets, expand market share, and foster long-term customer relationships. You will be a player-coach, capable of both setting the strategic vision and diving into the details to mentor the team and close key deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Planning:
  • Develop and execute the annual and quarterly sales strategy, quota, and operating plan.
  • Define and implement the sales methodology, processes, and KPIs to drive efficiency and predictability.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Finance to align go-to-market strategy and resource allocation.
  • Team Building & Management:
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, mentor, and retain top-tier sales talent (including Account Executives, SDRs, and Sales Managers).
  • Establish a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous coaching and development.
  • Set clear performance expectations, manage quotas, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Revenue Generation & Pipeline Management:
  • Own the company's sales target and be accountable for achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Oversee the entire sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and proactive management of risks and opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor key sales metrics (e.g., CAC, LTV, ACV, pipeline velocity, win rates) to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Customer & Partner Ecosystem:
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key enterprise clients and partners.
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and champion a customer-centric sales approach.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
  • Systems & Operations:
  • Oversee the sales tech stack (CRM, automation, enablement tools) to maximize productivity and insight.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on all sales activities and results to the executive team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role (Director of Sales, VP Sales, or Head of Sales).
  • Proven track record of building, scaling, and leading successful sales teams in a [SaaS/Tech/Service/Product] environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing sales processes, compensation plans, and enablement programs.
  • Consistent over-achievement of multi-million dollar annual revenue quotas.
  • Deep experience selling complex solutions to enterprise clients; experience in [Your Industry, e.g., B2B Software, Fintech] is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in leveraging CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and modern sales tools for forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
