Job Summary:-The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance team responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial insights to support decision-making within the organization.

Key Reponsibilities:-

Financial Reporting:-
 
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (e.g., income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) on a regular basis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
General Ledger Management:-
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and adjustments.
  • Review and approve journal entries prepared by junior staff.
Budgeting And Forecasting:-
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and provide explanations for variances.
Tax Compliance:-
  • Prepare and file various tax returns (e.g., income tax, sales tax, VAT) in compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Stay updated on tax law changes and advise on tax optimization strategies.
Audit Support:-
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits.
  • Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
Financial Analysis:-
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Account Reconciliation:-
  • Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Process Improvements:-
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
  • Participate in system upgrades or implementations as needed.
Complaince And Regulations:-
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting principles.
Team Leadership:-
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments on financial matters and cross-functional projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (typically 4-7 years) in accounting roles, with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).

  • Daily/weekly BRS update
  • Inter company reconciliation
  • Inter company invoices
  • Booking purchase against each payments 
  • Weekly debtors & creditors statement
  • Weekly stock list update
  • Monthly budget preparation
  • Budget tracking
  • Expense vouchers and supporting documents filling
  • Monthly VAT scheduled
  • Update monthly cash flow 
  • Import register and related documentation 
  • Preparing audit related documentation
