Reporting Line: Managing Director

Job Purpose**

The Portfolio Manager at Blue Marina Asset Management Limited is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the investment activities of the firm. The role ensures the design and execution of sound investment strategies that deliver sustainable returns, align with client objectives, and support the company's growth ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate, and execute the firm's overall investment philosophy and strategy.
  • Align investment strategies with the firm's long-term goals, client objectives, and regulatory requirements. Provide strategic direction to junior portfolio managers, analysts, and the wider investment team.
  • Oversee the construction, allocation, and performance of investment portfolios across asset classes.
  • Ensure portfolios are managed within defined risk and return parameters.
  • Approve significant investment decisions and monitor adherence to asset allocation guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of global and local economic trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
  • Guide the investment team in developing actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Monitor and mitigate market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks across portfolios.
  • Represent the firm's investment strategy and performance to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Generate Investment leads by leveraging the available asset classes.

Job Requirement

Educatio
n

  • A bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting or any other relevant field of study
  • A Second Degree will be an added advantage
  • Professional Certifications – CIS/CFA/ACCA/ACA is required
  • Must be a SEC sponsored Individual

Experie
nce

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry (preferably Asset Management), 3 of which should be in a similar role or in a senior management position
