Our client is seeking a visionary and hands-on
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
to lead our technology strategy and execution. The CTO will be responsible for developing and implementing technology initiatives that align with Spectrum MFB's business goals, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence. This role requires a strong mix of leadership, financial services technology acumen, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic direction on all technology-related matters including core banking systems, digital banking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Lead the digital transformation agenda, ensuring the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and automation.
- Drive innovation by identifying new digital products and service delivery channels.
Platform & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the development, customization, and maintenance of the core banking application and all digital platforms.
- Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of IT systems and platforms.
Team Management & Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and agility.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure IT policies, procedures, and controls are in compliance with regulatory standards (CBN, NDIC, etc.).
- Lead risk management and disaster recovery planning for IT operations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience through technology.
- Serve as the principal technology advisor to the Board and Executive Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Proven experience with digital banking solutions, core banking systems, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian regulatory landscape in banking and financial services.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to align technology strategies with business goals.
