Academy Coordinator, Events Architects Academy

Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria Events Architects Company Full time

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking leader to build and grow the Events Architects Academy.

As Academy coordinator, you will own the Academy end to end from what we teach, to how we teach it, to how our learners grow long after the program ends. This role is for someone who cares deeply about learning, community, and raising the standard of the events and hospitality industry.

You will design practical, real-world learning experiences, work closely with expert facilitators, and make sure every program delivers clear value to our members and to the business.

This is not an academic or purely administrative role. It's for a builder, curator, and leader.

What you'll be responsible for

Curriculum & Programs

  • Design and own the full learning journey across all Academy programs
  • Decide what we teach, when we teach it, and how it evolves with the industry
  • Create in-person and virtual learning experiences that are practical, engaging, and useful on the job
  • Regularly update courses based on feedback, trends, and learner needs
  • Set up simple systems to track learner progress, feedback, and impact

Facilitators & Mentors

  • Find and recruit experienced facilitators and guest mentors
  • Ensure facilitators are aligned with our values and teaching style
  • Support facilitators with clear frameworks, tools, and guidance
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with our faculty community

Learner Experience & Alumni Community

  • Create a welcoming, inspiring learning environment from start to finish
  • Keep graduates connected through alumni events, networking sessions, and ongoing learning
  • Build feedback loops to understand what's working and what needs improvement

Operations & Financial Ownership

  • Own the Academy budget, pricing, and revenue goals
  • Make smart decisions to keep programs sustainable and profitable
  • Oversee logistics such as venues, tech platforms, schedules, and materials
  • Track performance and continuously improve programs using data and insights

Strategy & Leadership

  • Set a clear vision and direction for the Academy's growth
  • Define goals and success metrics and ensure we're hitting them
  • Work closely with marketing, partnerships, and tech teams
  • Represent the Academy at industry events and build strong external partnerships

Who This Role Is For

  • You have experience building or leading education, training, or professional development programs
  • You understand the events/hospitality industry or adjacent creative / professional services industries
  • You're comfortable owning both strategy and execution
  • You care about quality, outcomes, and real-world impact not just content
  • You enjoy working with people and building communities
  • You think in systems but act in practical ways

Who This Role Is
Not
 For

  • Someone looking for a purely academic, theoretical, or hands-off role
  • Someone uncomfortable with budgets, accountability, or decision-making
  • Someone who prefers maintaining existing programs rather than building and evolving them
