Stix and Codes is a growing tech education company for children aged 6–17, focused on building foundational digital skills and bridging the digital divide in Africa through structured, practical learning. We currently operate primarily online, with physical programs planned for 2026.

Roles Overview

We are seeking an Operations & Admin Coordinator to support the day-to-day execution of the academy. This role is
execution-focused
, not strategic, and is critical to keeping the business organised, responsive, and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is organised, dependable, and comfortable working independently with clear deliverables rather than fixed daily hours.

Work Structure

    asynchronous
    with fixed meeting times.
  • Work is
    remote-first
  • Occasional in-person meetings in Lagos may be required to support physical programs or event preparation. These will be scheduled in advance.

**Key Responsibilities

  1. Operations & Administration (Core)**

  2. Manage class schedules and calendars

  3. Track student attendance and class completion
  4. Maintain student, parent, and class records
  5. Support student onboarding and offboarding
  6. Follow up on payments and subscriptions
  7. Maintain internal trackers and documentation
  8. Support coordination with tutors as the team grows

2. Parent and Student Communication

  • Serve as the first point of contact for parents and students
  • Respond to WhatsApp messages, emails, and inquiries within 24 hours
  • Send class updates, announcements, and reminders
  • Collect feedback and testimonials when required

3. Marketing & Content Coordination

  • Create and maintain a content calendar
  • Coordinate with a graphic designer or freelancer
  • Schedule and post approved content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, etc.)
  • Assist with basic video trimming or class highlights
  • Support the execution of campaigns for bootcamps and special programs

4. Founder Support & Reporting

  • Translate founder decisions into tasks and checklists
  • Track goals, tasks, and deadlines using Notion
  • Prepare weekly operational summaries
  • Flag issues, risks, or blockers early

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable using Notion, Google Workspace, and WhatsApp
  • Personal laptop and stable internet connection

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with an online school or education business
  • Social media coordination experience
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Canva, etc.)
