Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos for a Storekeeper. The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing daily store operations, such as packing, inventory control, and inventory management. This role includes tasks such as generating purchase orders, and ensuring that the store is well-organized and stocked with the necessary supplies to meet operational demands.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Management
:

·      Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.

·      Conduct regular physical counts to reconcile with system records.

·      Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages.

Receiving and Inspection
:

·      Receive, inspect, and verify the quality and quantity of all incoming goods.

·      Work closely with suppliers to address discrepancies or quality issues.

Storage and Organization
:

·      Ensure proper storage of items to prevent damage, spoilage, or contamination.

·      Organize the storage areas for easy access and efficient workflow.

Issuing Supplies
:

·      Process requisitions from various departments and issue supplies accordingly.

·      Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to manage stock rotation.

Communication
:

·      Collaborate with kitchen staff, bar personnel, and management to understand their inventory needs.

·      Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and quality concerns.

Waste Management
:

·      Monitor and minimize waste by implementing effective inventory control measures.

·      Dispose of expired or unusable items in accordance with established procedures.

Documentation
:

·      Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including invoices, purchase orders, and inventory reports.

·      Generate regular reports for management to analyze stock levels and usage patterns.

Qualifications/Requirements

·      Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role in the hospitality industry.

·      Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

·      Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

·      Good physical condition for manual handling of goods.

·      Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.

·      Knowledge of health and safety standards.
