JOB DETAILS:

  • We are seeking an experienced Storekeeper to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience in inventory management and storekeeping.
  • The Storekeeper will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of items while maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ensure stock availability by monitoring stock levels and conducting regular stock counts.
  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming materials, inspect them for damage or discrepancies, and accurately record received quantities.
  • Storage and Organization: Properly store materials in designated locations within the warehouse to facilitate easy access and efficient operations.
  • Issuance and Distribution: Fulfill internal requisitions and external orders promptly and accurately, ensuring that the correct materials are issued in the right quantities.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including receipts, issuances, returns, and adjustments, using appropriate documentation and systems.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all materials meet quality standards and specifications before acceptance and distribution.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite. Familiarity with barcode scanning systems is desirable.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records and stock management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Team Player: Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
