Job Title: Facilities & Maintenance Officer
Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Fame Lagos (All Branches)
Job Summary
The Facilities & Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all Fame Lagos properties are kept clean, well-maintained, and in excellent working condition. This role oversees the cleaning team, monitors the state of all facilities and equipment, and ensures timely repairs, servicing, and upkeep across all departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene and functionality throughout the premises.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleanliness & Housekeeping Oversight
- Supervise cleaners to ensure all areas — event halls, restrooms, kitchens, offices, and outdoor spaces — are consistently clean and well-presented.
- Enforce cleaning schedules and standards for all branches.
- Ensure uniforms, napkins, table linens, and other washable materials are cleaned, pressed, and stored promptly and properly.
- Conduct daily inspections of premises to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
2. Facilities & Equipment Maintenance
- Monitor the condition of all fixtures, furniture, appliances, and lighting across properties.
- Promptly report faults or damages to the Operations Manager and follow up until repairs are completed.
- Maintain updated maintenance logs for generators, air conditioners, and vehicles, ensuring all routine services are carried out on schedule.
- Oversee external technicians or service vendors when on-site, ensuring work is completed to standard.
- Support all departments with maintenance-related needs (kitchen, events, admin, etc.).
3. Supplies & Inventory
- Track and manage cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Raise purchase or replenishment requests through the Operations Manager.
- Maintain an inventory log for tools, cleaning materials, and consumables.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Keep daily and weekly checklists/logbooks for cleaning activities, maintenance checks, and service schedules.
- Prepare brief weekly reports on facility status and highlight urgent issues.
- Ensure maintenance records and service invoices are properly filed.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification in Facility Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a maintenance or facility supervision role (preferably in hospitality, events, or property management).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and order.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to supervise a small team effectively.
- Reliable, proactive, and organized.
Working Hours
- Flexible schedule based on event operations, with at least one day off weekly (except during peak festive periods).
- Must be available for urgent facility needs or repairs as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦180,000.00 per month
