Reports to: CEO
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the growth and expansion of our construction materials business in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key clients, and driving sales growth across our product portfolio, including aggregates, construction chemicals, concrete pumps, concrete mixers, and haulage services.
Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities in the construction industry, including government projects, private sector developments, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and revenue growth.
2.
Sales and Marketing
:
- Lead the sales team to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute marketing plans to promote our products and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
3.
Product Management
:
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure efficient logistics and supply chain management.
- Identify opportunities for product development and innovation.
4.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and issues.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
5.
Strategic Planning
:
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve company objectives.
- Collaborate with the management team to set sales and revenue targets.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the construction industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian construction industry and market trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or professional certification in Marketing or Business Administration.
Experience in managing a sales team or business development function.
Strong network of contacts in the construction industry.
