The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations to ensure the safety and protection of company personnel, assets, and property. This role involves managing security personnel, implementing safety and surveillance systems, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and statutory security regulations. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, be computer literate, and possess hands-on experience with safety management and CCTV operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all security operations and staff to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Supervise and train security personnel to ensure professionalism and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and manage CCTV surveillance systems to ensure 24-hour operational functionality.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits of facilities.
  • Investigate security breaches, incidents, and alarms promptly, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and external security vendors as required.
  • Oversee access control systems, visitor management, and incident response protocols.
  • Implement and enforce safety management standards in alignment with organizational and legal requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of security incidents, equipment maintenance, and personnel performance.
  • Prepare periodic reports and recommendations for management on security performance and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of HND or BSc in Security Management, Criminology, Public Administration, or any related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant security experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools.
  • Proven experience in safety management systems and CCTV monitoring/operations.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, access control, and emergency response procedures.
  • Professional certifications in security or safety management (e.g., CPP, PSP, NEBOSH, HSE) are an added advantage.
