Job Description – Construction Project Manager (Expatriate)

Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Salary Budget: Open to Negotiation

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from start to finish — ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

Supervise pre-construction, construction, and closeout activities.

Monitor progress, costs, and quality standards.

Prepare and manage project documentation, RFIs, and reports.

Cost & Budget Control

Track expenses and variations against budgets.

Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for cost efficiency.

Review and approve project estimates and financial reports.

Team Supervision

Lead and mentor engineers, project officers, and site staff.

Conduct site visits to assess progress and resolve issues.

Oversee staff deployment, appraisals, and compliance with HSE and QA/QC standards.

Communication & Coordination

Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, and consultants.

Report risks, challenges, and progress to management.

Ensure adherence to project SOPs and safety regulations.

Requirements

HND/B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.

Minimum 8 years of construction experience, with 5 years in project management.

Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.

PMP, PRINCE II, or COREN certification is an advantage.

Strong leadership, budgeting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
