We are building a 10-pillar healthcare platform, and Clinical Engineers are essential to making our intelligent EMR clinically accurate, safe, and aligned with real-world hospital workflows.

Role Overview

We are seeking a
Clinical Engineer
who understands hospital operations, medical devices, and clinical workflow design. You will bridge the gap between clinicians and technology, ensuring that
intelligent EMR
and future Amylase products truly serve front-line healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Map real-world clinical workflows into product requirements.
  • Validate system features with clinicians, nurses, and lab personnel.
  • Support integration with medical devices, monitors, analyzers, and PACS.
  • Conduct clinical usability tests and gather structured feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (NAFDAC, HL7, FHIR, HIPAA).
  • Translate clinical problems into engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and UX designers.
  • Contribute to safety, risk analysis, and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows and medical device interactions.
  • Experience with EMR systems or clinical IT tools.
  • Knowledge of medical safety standards and quality systems.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred

  • Experience integrating medical devices (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
  • Experience in low-resource healthcare settings or African health systems.
  • Prior work with EMR/EHR implementations.
  • Experience in clinical usability studies.
