About the Role

Our client is looking to hire a detail-oriented and reliable
Junior Accountant
to support the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate should have solid accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with bookkeeping, and the ability to prepare basic financial statements. This role requires someone who is organized, analytical, and proficient in handling accounting tasks independently while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and bookkeeping entries
  • Prepare basic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is accurate
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies
  • Support senior accountants with audits and additional accounting tasks
  • Generate and organize financial reports for management
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • OND/HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–3 years* of practical accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar)
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Must have a laptop and reliable internet connection (since the job is remote)
