Salary: N180,000 Monthly

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HMO Billings Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in health insurance processes, billing, and claims management within a hospital or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities


• Manage HMO and NHIA patient registrations, approvals, and pre-authorizations.


• Prepare, review, and submit accurate bills/claims to HMOs, NHIA, and corporate clients.


• Track, reconcile, and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payment.


• Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to queries from HMOs and clients.


• Maintain proper documentation of all claims, payments, and reconciliations.


• Liaise with the finance department to update payment reports and reduce claim denials.


• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HMO agreements, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements


• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or related field.


• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in HMO billing, claims, or healthcare finance.


• Strong knowledge of HMO processes, NHIA requirements, and medical billing systems.


• Excellent numerical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hospital management software.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills for engaging HMOs and internal teams.
