Job Summary

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the organization's technology vision and execution across an integrated healthcare ecosystem covering clinical services, health insurance, and diagnostics. This role is responsible for building secure, scalable, and compliant technology platforms that support care delivery, claims processing, data analytics, and value-based care models.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in regulated environments, understands both healthcare provider and payer operations, and can align technology with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute enterprise-wide technology strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on healthcare technology and digital transformation.
  • Establish technology roadmaps, KPIs, and governance frameworks.

Platform & Systems Oversight

  • Oversee EMR systems, health plan platforms, claims processing, and member engagement tools.
  • Ensure seamless integration between clinical and administrative systems.
  • Drive interoperability using healthcare standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, APIs).

Data, Analytics & Innovation

  • Lead enterprise data strategy across clinical, operational, and financial data.
  • Enable population health management, reporting, and cost optimization.
  • Oversee responsible use of AI and analytics to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Security, Risk & Compliance

  • Lead cybersecurity, privacy, and risk management initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data and technology regulations.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Engineering, Infrastructure & Operations

  • Manage software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and IT operations.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems.

People, Vendors & Budget

  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team.
  • Manage technology vendors, contracts, and SLAs.
  • Own technology budgets and cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
  • Strong experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated environments.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise technology transformation.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare operations, data security, and compliance.
