About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Plumber
to join our facility maintenance team at a leading beach resort located in Lekki-Ajah, Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing systems and fixtures across guest rooms, public areas, and specialized facilities such as pools, spas, and coastal water systems. This role requires a hands-on professional who is proactive, reliable, and capable of ensuring efficient water and drainage systems that support a safe and comfortable experience for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain all plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage, and sewage systems.
- Fixture Servicing: Repair and service plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, faucets, and water heaters.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections to detect leaks, clogs, and other potential issues early and take corrective action.
- Special Facility Maintenance: Install and maintain plumbing systems for pools, spas, fountains, and other water-based resort amenities.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies to minimize disruptions to guest services.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all plumbing work adheres to local codes, regulations, and resort safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and manage stock of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other technical and maintenance staff, including electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete facility projects efficiently.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate job records and report completed work to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum of National Diploma (ND), NCE, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as a plumber in a hospitality, resort, or facility maintenance environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of water supply, drainage, and heating systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues quickly.
- Excellent knowledge of plumbing safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Other Requirements:
Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work early shifts starting at 6:00 AM.
- Possession of a valid plumbing trade license or certification will be an added advantage.
