Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Head of Solar Operations based in Lagos, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Head of Solar Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end operations of solar projects, including planning, implementation, and optimization. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The individual will also develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and scalability within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in project management, operational planning, and team leadership
  • Technical knowledge of solar energy systems, renewable energy solutions, and installation processes
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid model with both on-site and remote tasks
  • A degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications in energy management are a plus
  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly in managing solar or renewable energy projects, is highly desirable
