Job Summary

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Finance & Accounts to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, enhance internal controls, and provide leadership for day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

§ Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, cash flow analyses, and project performance reports.

§ Support budgeting and forecasting processes; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.

§ Monitor and report project-specific financial performance (costs, revenues, profitability).

Accounting & Operations

§ Oversee general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and asset management.

§ Ensure adherence to IFRS, internal accounting policies, and statutory regulations.

§ Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

Compliance & Audits

§ Coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit queries.

§ Ensure tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE) and manage regulatory filings.

§ Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and financial discipline.

Treasury & Cashflow

§ Support cashflow planning, bank reconciliations, and treasury operations.

§ Manage financial documentation for loans, payables, receivables, and project financing structures.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

§ Supervise finance officers and accountants; provide coaching and technical training.

§ Collaborate with project teams to evaluate financial implications of construction timelines and procurement decisions.

§ Work closely with supply chain, legal, and operations teams.

Qualifications & Experience

§ Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

§ Professional certification: ICAN or ACCA (required).

§ Minimum 7–10 years' experience in finance and accounting, ideally within real estate, construction, or related sectors.

§ Strong knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, tax management, and audit processes.

§ Proficiency in financial software, ERPs, and advanced Excel.
