The Role
We're seeking a
Growth Marketing Specialist
who will drive revenue acceleration and user expansion across BAS Group's portfolio. This role requires a growth hacker mentality—someone who lives and breathes conversion optimization, viral loops, and scalable acquisition strategies. You'll be instrumental in transforming our existing user base into revenue-generating customers while driving mass adoption of our digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue-Driven Growth Strategy
- Design and execute monetization strategies to convert active users into paying customers across our digital platforms, focusing on subscriptions, transactions, and premium services
- Drive mass user acquisition through app store optimization (ASO), paid campaigns, and viral growth mechanics targeting 1M+ new users in Year 1
- Implement lifecycle marketing campaigns (onboarding sequences, push notifications, email/SMS) to maximize user engagement and reduce churn
- Continuously A/B test user journeys, pricing models, and feature adoption to maximize revenue per user
- Collaborate with product teams to embed viral mechanics, referral programs, and incentive structures that drive organic growth
2. Performance Marketing & Paid Acquisition
- Own end-to-end paid campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok, and emerging platforms with aggressive CAC targets
- Develop hyper-targeted audience segments for BAS Group's diverse offerings (financial services, healthcare technology, real estate) and optimize for conversions
- Manage marketing budgets with precision, achieving target ROAS while scaling spend efficiently
- Create and test ad creatives, landing pages, and messaging frameworks that resonate with Nigerian consumers across multiple demographics
3. Data-Driven Growth & Analytics
- Build and monitor growth dashboards tracking North Star metrics: Daily/Monthly Active Users (DAU/MAU), revenue per user, LTV:CAC ratio, retention cohorts, and viral coefficient
- Conduct rapid experimentation cycles—test hypotheses weekly, analyze results, and double down on winners
- Develop customer segmentation models to personalize marketing and maximize lifetime value across different subsidiaries
- Generate weekly performance reports with actionable insights for leadership
4. Content & Community-Led Growth
- Create content strategies that drive user acquisition (customer testimonials, educational content, influencer partnerships)
- Develop and execute referral programs and ambassador initiatives to create organic growth loops
- Optimize digital presence (app store listings, websites, social channels) for maximum conversion
- Collaborate with content teams to produce high-impact materials that support acquisition and retention goals
5. Cross-Subsidiary Synergies
- Develop integrated campaigns that create synergies between BAS subsidiaries, maximizing cross-selling and ecosystem engagement
- Identify opportunities for unified growth strategies that benefit multiple business units simultaneously
- Support partnership initiatives and PR campaigns with growth-focused insights and audience targeting
Required Qualifications
Essential:
- 3-5 years
in growth marketing, performance marketing, or growth product roles, preferably with
mobile app/SaaS/fintech experience
- Proven track record
of scaling user acquisition and revenue (show us your numbers—users acquired, revenue grown, CAC reduced)
- Expertise in digital growth:
ASO, mobile attribution platforms (AppsFlyer, Adjust), in-app analytics (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase)
- Performance marketing mastery:
Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads (including UAC), budget optimization, creative testing frameworks
- Data proficiency:
SQL skills preferred; expert in GA4, Tableau/Looker, or similar analytics platforms
- Growth experimentation:
Experience running A/B tests, building conversion funnels, and optimizing at every stage
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field
Highly Desired:
- Experience in Nigerian or African digital markets
- Multi-vertical growth experience (investment, fintech, healthcare, or financial services)
- Understanding of payment gateway integration and revenue optimization
- Experience with referral programs, viral loops, or product-led growth strategies
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Braze, CleverTap, MoEngage, HubSpot)
