The Sojourner by Genesis is seeking a detail-oriented Receivables Accountant
to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing, monitoring, and reconciling all accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and compliance with financial policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices for rooms, banquets, events, and F&B services.
  • Record and post daily receivables transactions into the accounting system.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up promptly with clients.
  • Reconcile AR ledgers and verify payment postings.
  • Process credit applications and manage credit limits.
  • Verify daily cash receipts, credit card settlements, and bank deposits.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly AR aging reports.
  • Generate and review monthly statements for corporate and agency accounts.
  • Support month-end closing and audit processes.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, and Banquet teams to resolve billing queries.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience (hospitality industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of
    Opera

    Micros
    systems.
  • Proficiency in
    Sage
    ,
    QuickBooks
    , and
    MS Excel
    .
  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
