Key Responsibilities:

Project Implementation & Execution

  • Execute FTTH rollout activities in line with approved project plans, engineering standards, and customer SLAs.
  • Supervise and guide field technicians to ensure quality installations, splicing, testing, and site build activities.
  • Carry out proactive planning to prevent delays and ensure smooth site readiness and timely project delivery.
  • Monitor daily work progress and escalate challenges to the Project Manager for immediate resolution.

Site Coordination & Field Management


• Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and spot checks to ensure adherence to standards and work quality.


• Coordinate the mobilization of materials, tools, and manpower required for FTTH rollout.


• Ensure proper handling, tracking, and usage of all equipment delivered to assigned sites.


• Maintain strong relationships with community representatives, estate managers, and local authorities to support seamless project execution.

Technical Quality & Documentation

  • Ensure all site-related documentation, including test results (OTDR, LSPM), as-built drawings, route maps, and material usage reports, are accurately completed and submitted.
  • Verify the quality of fibre splicing, termination, ducting, civil works, and pole installations according to company and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines and environmental regulations during project execution.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with estate associations, communities, and relevant government agencies to support ROW and permit processing.
  • Maintain cordial interactions with vendor representatives, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly and periodic updates on assigned tasks to the Project Manager or Supervisor.

Cost & Time Efficiency

  • Ensure assigned tasks are implemented with optimal resource usage and minimal cost.
  • Support the Project Manager in mitigating risks, resolving site issues, and proposing contingency measures where necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring timely closure of project milestones by providing accurate documentation and field evidence.

Teamwork & Professional Conduct

  • Support and mentor field technicians in best practices, safety, and professional behaviour.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and teams when required to support additional project activities.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical updates where necessary.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Line Manager.

Qualifications & Experience


• OND/HND/BSc in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.


• Minimum of 2–5 years hands-on experience in FTTH rollout or fibre optics implementation.


• Strong knowledge of fibre optics, splicing, OTDR testing, civil works, and FTTH architecture.


• Familiarity with HSE principles, ROW processes, and local regulatory requirements.


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
