Role Overview**
We are hiring an experienced and commercially driven Managing Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for the business. The MD will be responsible for driving growth, strengthening credit operations, managing risk, and leading the organization toward sustainable profitability.

This role requires a hands-on leader with deep experience in lending, credit management, and financial services operations within the Nigerian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for Transkredit's business operations
  • Drive growth of the loan portfolio while maintaining strong credit quality and risk controls
  • Oversee credit policy, underwriting standards, collections, and recovery strategies
  • Lead business planning, budgeting, and P&L management
  • Work closely with the Board and key stakeholders to execute business objectives
  • Build, mentor, and manage senior leadership and operational teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards
  • Identify market opportunities, partnerships, and product expansion strategies
  • Strengthen operational processes to support scalability and efficiency

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 10–15 years' experience in financial services, lending, fintech, or microfinance
  • Proven leadership experience at senior management level (MD, CEO, COO, Executive Director, Country Head, or equivalent)
  • Strong background in credit, lending operations, risk management, and collections
  • Experience managing P&L and business growth
  • Solid understanding of the Nigerian financial services and lending landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to scale operations and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and decision-making skills
