We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Logistics Officer

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Functional Area: Supply chain

Reports to: Logistics Supervisor

Overall Purpose of Job

  • Effective tracking and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Inbound and outbound goods validations and revalidations.
  • Timely dispatch of validated goods from Lagos to PortHarcourt and client locations.
  • Form M and PAAR processing.
  • Adherence to supply chain processes and procedures
  • Weekly logistics reporting.
  • Liaising with freight forwarders and clearing agents.
  • Coordinating port operations in collaboration with clearing agents.
  • Assisting with Updating import delivery schedules.
  • Logging in the arrival date of any vessel and the expected clearing date of consignment via the sea.
  • Ensures consignments (via the air and sea) are cleared within the agreed time-frame; 10 working days after vessel is discharged for sea and 4 working days from NAHCO for air.
  • Completes the goods validation form (GVF) on all receipts.
  • Liaises with clearing agents, relevant government agencies, relevant government agencies and the clients.
  • Ensures that invoicing processes are completed at client's site.
  • Liaising with relevant staff members on stock management in other locations.
  • Prepares documents necessary for goods delivery at each client's site.
  • Oversees timely delivery of goods to clients in Lagos / Port Harcourt.

Person Specification

  • A good University Degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Logistics, preferably in the maritime or oil and gas industries
  • Knowledge of transportation management is necessary for ensuring efficient movement of goods.
  • Understanding and adhering to regulations related to global trade is required for international operations.
  • Problem Solving skills, ability to quickly identify, analyse and resolve issues that arise in logistics operations.
  • Effective Communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal & relationship management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Honest and hardworking.
  • Confident with good social skills.
  • Team player.
