Role Overview

As a Business Development Executive at SKLD, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and market expansion. You will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strategic client relationships, and execute effective sales strategies across our educational supplies and lifestyle product lines. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with strong sales acumen and a deep understanding of the trading and manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Analyze competitors' strategies, pricing, and positioning to identify growth opportunities and market gaps.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential clients, particularly within the educational supplies and lifestyle product sectors.
  • Present and promote new products, partnerships, and services to schools and other institutions.
  • Follow up on delivered orders to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong client retention.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and networking events to expand client reach and brand visibility.

3. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.

4. Product Knowledge & Promotion

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of SKLD's product range and their unique selling points.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns that enhance product visibility and market penetration.

5. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback from the market to the product development team to guide innovation and improvement.

6. Business Development Planning

  • Attend industry functions such as exhibitions, school events, and workshops to identify market trends and partnership opportunities.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior management for new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify and develop SKLD's unique selling propositions and differentiators within the market.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the manufacturing or trading industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦200,000.00 per month
