**Role Overview**
The General Manager is a key strategic leadership role responsible for the overall operational, production, and commercial performance of the business unit. This hands-on position will establish, scale, and oversee all day-to-day functions, driving both operational efficiency and aggressive revenue growth across all channels. The role requires balancing strategic thinking with operational execution, ensuring high performance today while laying the foundation for scalable global expansion tomorrow.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth**
* Develop and execute a unified commercial strategy across all relevant Group brands and channels (retail, digital, wholesale, B2B, and new models).
* Set, monitor, and manage ambitious revenue targets, margins, and performance KPIs, ensuring alignment with group growth objectives.
* Identify new revenue opportunities, including collaborations, stockists, and services, and lead initiatives to capture these opportunities.
* Translate market insights into actionable commercial plans, ensuring both profitability and brand equity.
**II. Strategic Operations & Production Leadership*** Oversee the establishment and continuous refinement of the business unit's operations, including setting up legal, financial, and HR structures, and refining the business model and service offerings.
* Lead the Strategic Production function, overseeing end-to-end production planning, scheduling, costing, and execution across atelier departments.
* Design and oversee daily operations, build and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and implement operational systems to ensure scalability and efficiency.
* Partner closely with the production and sourcing teams to align cost structures and production realities with overall pricing and revenue strategies.
**III. Business Development & Market Expansion*** Build and manage strategic relationships with key partners, including distributors, stockists, department stores, and institutional buyers.
* Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts to drive revenue, market reach, and long-term strategic value.
* Identify and evaluate new market entry opportunities, with a focus on scaling internationally into key regions like Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
* Lead the development of wholesale, retail, and digital channel strategies to reach customers in new markets and segments.
**IV. Financial Management & Commercial Governance*** Manage and oversee the unit's operational and capital budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and maximum return on investment.
* Design and implement pricing strategies, discount frameworks, and commercial policies that maximise profitability and competitiveness across all channels.
* Oversee commercial contracts, ensuring legal, financial, and brand alignment.
* Establish robust reporting structures and dashboards to track both operational and commercial performance across the unit.
**V. Team Leadership & Capability Building*** Recruit, train, and manage the operations and commercial teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and strong performance.
* Support the development of commercial capabilities within the team, including training on negotiation, pricing, and sales strategy.
* Work cross-functionally with the marketing, product development, and finance teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
