Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled
Geologist
to analyze rock formations and subsurface structures to support the exploration and evaluation of potential oil and gas reserves. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of geological modeling, reservoir analysis, and field data interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct geological studies to evaluate rock formations, stratigraphy, and subsurface structures.
  • Analyze seismic, well-log, and core sample data to identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
  • Create geological maps, cross-sections, and 3D subsurface models.
  • Collaborate with exploration, drilling, and reservoir engineering teams to assess resource potential.
  • Monitor drilling operations to ensure geological accuracy and provide real-time insights.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for exploration projects.
  • Use specialized geological software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom, ArcGIS) for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new exploration technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Earth Sciences, or related field.
  • Proven experience in oil & gas exploration or subsurface geological analysis.
  • Strong understanding of sedimentology, petrology, structural geology, and geophysics.
  • Proficiency in geological interpretation and modeling software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in field environments and adapt to changing conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced seismic interpretation.
  • Knowledge of reservoir characterization techniques.
  • Prior exposure to offshore or onshore drilling operations.
