ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in a dynamic geotechnical engineering and construction environment. The ideal candidate will assist in managing project costs and contracts across piling foundation works, subsoil investigations, and building construction. You will work closely with engineers, site supervisors, and senior QS staff to ensure cost-effective project execution from planning to completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQs) for piling, geotechnical, and other related building works.

· Support in tendering processes, obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes.

· Conduct site measurements and assist in preparing valuation reports.· Help monitor project expenditure and report on budget variances.

· Maintain cost records and assist in the preparation of project financial reports.

· Assist in preparing and reviewing subcontractor agreements and purchase orders.

· Liaise with site supervisors to verify quantities and ensure accurate cost tracking.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in cost reporting and procurement.· Support in preparing project closeout documents.

· Other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENT:·

Bachelor's degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.

1–3 years of experience, preferably in geotechnical, civil, or building construction projects.·

Basic understanding of piling methods, soil testing, foundation works, and building processes.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of QS software is a plus.

· Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills are important.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Eagerness to learn and adapt to on-site and office-based responsibilities.
