Role Objective

Our Client
is seeking a
Data Analyst/Engineer

– Telecom Billing & Reporting to
strengthen their data operations within the Telecom Interconnect and IDA Business
and to
support CDR processing, billing, and analytics.
The role will assist the Head of Billing & Reporting in maintaining data accuracy, generating business-critical reports, and automating repetitive workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Processing

  • Pull, clean, and aggregate CDRs (Call Detail Records) from various network nodes and billing systems.
  • Use
    MS SQL Server
    to perform joins, filtering, and data transformations.

Reporting & Reconciliation

  • Generate reports for
    traffic trends, revenue assurance, and partner reconciliation.
  • Support billing cycles for interconnect and international data traffic.

Automation & Scripting

  • Develop scripts (SQL, Python, or Shell) to automate report generation.
  • Implement alerts and data integrity checks to prevent billing errors.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with Technical Operations and Finance teams to validate data.
  • Maintain documentation for SQL queries, reports, and processes.

Learning & Mentorship

  • Learn telecom billing logic, rating structures, and CDR handling from the Senior Engineer.
  • Gradually take over routine data analytics and reporting functions.

Required Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in
    MS SQL Server
    (stored procedures, views, joins, optimization).
  • Good working knowledge of
    Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
    .
  • Basic scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and ETL workflows.
  • Experience with large datasets (preferably telecom or transaction data).

Behavioral & Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
  • Integrity, reliability, and ability to handle sensitive data.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Team player with willingness to learn telecom-specific systems.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Certifications in SQL, Data Analytics, or BI Tools are an advantage.
  • 3–4 Years of Experience
