Quality Assurance and Compliance Oficer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company quality standards, food safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits across all production stages — from harvesting, milling, and refining to packaging.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, or RSPO standards.
  • Collect and analyze samples of palm fruits, crude palm oil (CPO), and palm kernel oil (PKO) to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Investigate quality-related issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality control tests, inspection results, and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure prompt closure of non-conformities.
  • Train and sensitize staff on quality, hygiene, and compliance procedures.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure consistent adherence to operational standards.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and customer requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Agricultural Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or production in the agro-processing or FMCG industry (oil palm experience is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, HACCP, GMP, RSPO, etc.).
  • Proficient in recordkeeping, reporting, and use of MS Office tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
