Job Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator is a professional role within the quality assurance team who works under the general direction of the Manager of IT. This role designs software QA methods and procedures for use by project team members to ensure all information systems meet minimum company standards and end user requirements.

Job Description:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator is a professional role within the quality assurance team who works under the general direction of the Manager of IT in a Bank. This role designs software QA methods and procedures for use by project team members to ensure all information systems meet minimum company standards and end user requirements. This role will be responsible for the creation of test plan, preparation of test cases and execution of IT tests , assistance of business UAT tests, and fulfillment of others QA activities.

The candidate will be expected to deliver/possess the following:

1. Lead and deliver quality assurance for complex data integration projects

2. Provide oversight and implement the development and executions of test scenario and

test cases across all areas of concern

1. Lead the management and resolution of defects across lifecycle

2. Deliver on detailed test strategy and test plans working in conjunction with the other

quality assurance team members this will include quality and performance testing.

1. Define test criteria in conjunction with business

2. Prepare test infrastructure and resources required for a successful execution of the QA

component of the project

1. Prepare test data required to cover all applicable scenarios

2. Apply automation to applicable test cases where applicable

3. Develop and execute on test scenarios and test cases in line with the quality assurance

objectives of the project

1. Develop and manage all required QA artifacts

2. Ensure test execution and reporting is conducted on time and on schedule

3. Conforming to regulations and international standards when it comes to testing and

quality assurance

1. Applying technical skills related to the product being tested (knowledge of programming

languages) to software QA

1. Understanding of the banking industry: Expectation is that the resource will be familiar

with the banking domain to reduce the on-boarding time.

1. Working closely to ensure knowledge transfer to assigned Bank resources on the project.

2. Understanding of cloud technologies e.g. Azure, Amazon etc.

3. Expertise in leading data integration tools e.g. Microsoft, Oracle ODI, Informatica, IBM

data stage.

1. Expertise in leading RDBMS application e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQLserver, IBM DB2

2. Good analytical and communication skills.

3. Meeting project deadline.

4. Understanding of the NDPR provision on data privacy.

5. In-depth understanding of Core Finacle banking application.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information technology, Business, Engineering, or related field degree with project management emphasis
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Information technology or assigned business function.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Quality Assurance working on enterprise systems within a medium to large organization.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience developing test plans for both functional and performance testing.

Skills:

• Experience with ERP, Financial and Manufacturing applications
• Demonstrated expertise in conceptual problem solving.
• Strong understanding of SQA life cycle: requirements gathering, testing definition, QA methodologies and test execution.
• Knowledge of ERP application & general business knowledge for his/her functional area(s)
• A background in testing, documentation, user training, or project management related to the application development life cycle.
• Ability to interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction - prepare, provide and convey diversified information, which may be of a technical nature.
• Ability to review and comprehend bug descriptions, functional requirements, design documents and code.
• Ability to work with developers to design test criteria and develop test plans.
• Excellent documentation skills with proven experience of documenting requirements, solutions, design documents
• An ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Basic analytical skills and business requirements gathering
• Strong interpersonal skills

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From ₦600,000.00 per month
