Quality Assurance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure regional compliance with PCI and regulatory standards for GMP.
• Liaise with PCI and government bodies on product quality, packaging, processes, and consumer feedback.
• Advise on new regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
• Conduct surveys to improve quality and reduce waste.
• Maintain databases on plant and product performance.
• Provide timely quality performance reports for management and trade.
• Develop strategies to maintain and enhance product quality across regions.

Accountabilities

• Oversee quality control to ensure products meet company standards.
• Drive improvements in product/process quality and cost efficiency.
• Develop SOPs, policies, and systems to strengthen quality processes.
• Lead risk assessments and manage non-conforming products to minimize loss and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor production inputs/outputs to maintain quality consistency.
• Interpret analytical data to recommend improvements and ensure issue resolution.
• Implement calibration and accuracy monitoring programs.

Quality & Compliance

• Oversee calibration and accuracy of analytical procedures and equipment.
• Assess risks tied to new product runs and resource use.
• Participate in designing and implementing QA policies aligned with PCI and GMP standards.
• Ensure availability of testing equipment and chemicals for quality checks.
• Deliver timely quality performance reports for plant and market activities.
• Plan and coordinate quality-related trainings.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, unions, and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Inventory, Warehousing, and government agencies.
• Use performance management systems to drive productivity and set clear objectives.
• Engage shop floor employees and promote company culture and values.
• Enforce compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Drive process improvements and modernization of production and quality systems.
• Recommend and support implementation of high-value initiatives.
• Adopt and share global and internal best practices.
• Promote automation and technology adoption within operations.

Core Competencies & Skills

• Strong knowledge of modern WC manufacturing practices
• Solid understanding of HQSE standards, GMP, and 5S (GHK) principles
• Effective communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
• Experience in plant operations, project planning, and implementation
• Exposure to equipment or production line installation/expansion is an advantage
• Ability to prepare business cases, cost–benefit analyses, and perform basic financial reviews
• Skilled in influencing outcomes without direct control of resources
• Proven experience in budgeting and cost management

Requirements & Core Competencies

• Education:
  B.Sc. or HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Food Science & Technology
• Experience:
  Minimum of 5 years in the CSD/food & beverage industry, with at least 2 years in quality control or assurance at management level
