Job Description
- The Business Development Officer is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and institutional customers.
- Whereslng, the role focuses on increasing volume, opening new markets, improving product visibility, and supporting revenue growth for both retail and wholesale channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard new retailers, wholesalers, and distributors
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase soup and garri sales
- Manage relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, and supply agreements
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
- Coordinate with marketing teams on promotions and product launches
- Ensure product availability and proper shelf placement
- Collect market feedback and report customer needs to management
- Track sales performance against targets
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales and growth report.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 1 - 3 years experience.
Skills Required
Technical / Business Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Market analysis and customer segmentation
- Knowledge of retail & wholesale distribution channels
- Pricing and margin awareness
- Basic understanding of sales data and reports
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets
- CRM or sales tracking tools experience.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relationship-building and networking ability
- Results-driven and self-motivated
- Problem-solving and strategic thinking
- Ability to work independently and meet targets.
Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
