Hiring Job Role: Accountant Industry: Agriculture / Agri-Tech Location: Ibadan, Oyo State Salary: Competitive Our client, a fast-growing agribusiness and consulting firm, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the organization's financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, strengthen internal control systems, and provide insights to guide management decisions. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and cash flow projections. Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities, providing variance analysis and financial insights. Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations. Process payroll and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions such as PAYE, VAT, pension, and NHF. Develop and implement internal control systems to prevent financial mismanagement or fraud. Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and reviews. Conduct cost analysis, profitability tracking, and revenue optimization strategies. Assist management in making informed financial decisions through accurate data interpretation. Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, policies, and relevant financial laws. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2–4 years' experience in accounting or finance within a structured organization. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ICAN/ANAN qualification is an added advantage. High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently.
