Job summary

Our client is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to manage, track, and maintain all project documents, ensuring accuracy, version control, and timely retrieval. The ideal candidate will support project teams by controlling documentation flow and ensuring compliance with company and client standards.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control all incoming and outgoing documents (soft and hard copies).
  • Maintain an organised filing and retrieval system for project and administrative documents.
  • Ensure document accuracy, version control, and timely updates.
  • Distribute documents to relevant teams, departments, and stakeholders.
  • Track document status, approvals, revisions, and project deliverables.
  • Ensure documents comply with internal procedures, client requirements, and project standards.
  • Assist project teams with documentation needs and provide administrative support.
  • Prepare and update document control reports, registers, and logs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive documentation.
  • Support audits and ensure proper documentation for compliance.

Requirements:

  • Degree/OND/HND in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in Document Control or Administrative Support.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PDF management).
  • Experience with document control software is an added advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and filing skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of project documentation standards (especially in construction, engineering, or oil & gas) is a plus.
