Responsibilities

  1. Plan, supervise, and execute daily inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance of all electrical systems including motors, VFDs, heaters, PLCs, switchgear, transformers, UPS, DG sets, and lab instruments.

  2. Troubleshoot complex electrical faults and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

  3. Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation teams, and vendors for integrated maintenance and equipment upgrades.

  4. Ensure compliance with safety standards, pharma cGMP, and local electrical regulations.

  5. Manage electrical spare parts inventory with procurement and ensure proper documentation and timely return of materials.

  6. Prepare and review detailed maintenance reports, logs, and audit documentation; ensure all records are signed and compliant with internal standards.

  7. Provide technical training, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

  8. Oversee installation, modification, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.

  9. Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions in electrical scope.

  10. Support quality assurance activities including equipment calibration and validation.

  11. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the electrical department.

  12. Respond effectively to emergencies and manage electrical failure situations with minimal downtime.
